Color Guard

Color Guard

Color Guard is a team that practices the proper presentation of the American flag for the national anthem or pledge of allegiance. The team consists of four members. The Color Guard is graded on alignment, command, and the ability to stay within the boundaries. Each member has a different position within the color guard: the right rifle, the American flag (held by the Color Guard Commander), the state flag, and the left rifle. The tradition and purpose of the rifles is to protect the flag. In addition to competitions, the color guard also performs at ceremonies and events.
